Description |
A lovely George III oak Lancashire mule chest with brass swan neck handles. This oak mule chest has a great colour and patina and dates from around 1760's, constructed of solid oak the top opens to reveal storage space whilst having the 6 dummy drawers to the front and the bottom three being working drawers. This is a lovely example having the reeded inset columns to each corner, inset panels to each end and raised on bracket feet with a shaped apron. It is in good original condition having been wax polished by ourselves with the top having a old split in it which has been repaired with no movement. I have shown it in the photos (hardly seen really but thought I would point it out) and only adds to the character of such a lovely mule chest. |
