| Description |
| An exceptional quality grey marble topped French Louis Philippe figured Walnut 5 drawer Commode. This Antique commode has a beautifully figured grey marble top with a double scrolled edge above a shaped walnut oak lined cushion top drawer and a central brass inset escutcheon, below this are three beautifully grained figured walnut drawers set within a shaped edge mould again with central locks and brass escutcheons. The commode has a further secret drawer hidden within its plinth base which is raised on shaped feet. This outstanding Antique French Commode aside from being a handsome looking piece of furniture is also a very universal piece as the chest can be used in a variety of rooms with the house. The chest has been carefully restored using a traditional French polishing method and we have a key but the locks do not work. This commode would work well in a contemporary or traditional household setting. |
