Early 20th Century Wheelback Leather Upholstered Armchair #2751

A fine quality early 20th Century shaped wheel back design leather upholstered armchair / desk chair after a design used by Robert Adam and of substantial proportions.

English Circa 1920.

Constructed to the highest standard using quality cuts of mahogany and finely carved, each having an scooped oval wheel back with central roundel and pierced splats within a moulded rail and adjoining shaped and padded armchairs, over newly upholstered hand dyed leather sprung seat. The fluted shaped seat rail flanked by roundel capped square cut tapering and fluted front legs with comforting splays to the rear. 

A very well designed and generous armchair in the Neo-classical style of late 18th Century popular amongst the elite designers such as Robert Adam and George Hepplewhite.
