Pair of Chippendale Style Mahogany and Leather Armchairs #2677

A fine pair of Chippendale style Mahogany and leather armchairs with crisply carved back splats and pierced stretchers.

English Circa, 1910.

These well designed armchairs are ascetically pleasing and the craftsman has used a very good choice of timber. The backs having finely detailed and intricately pierced splats with a serpentine cresting rail, flanked by shaped, fluted and stop fluted open arms, the seats covered in a newly fitted hand dyed tan leather with fretted styles and legs, joined by unusual pierced H frame stretchers.

A usual pair of good quality armchairs dating to just after the Edwardian period with a fine colour.

In excellent condition ready for use within the home.
